We Are Your Consignment Coaches..
We know everyone has their gifts and those that need, well a bit of grace. When we partnered up, we both quickly knew which was which for each of us. And that leads to a powerful duo here to guide you to the Next Level in Resale & Consulting training.Â
Angie Houloose’s main gift is the creative, design and aesthetic side of your resale shop – more of the let’s dive into your customers and see what they are up to kind of thing, along with organizational writing and graphic design. Angie also has experience building a strong team, while curating loyal customers and turning them into raving fans through a fun and dynamic store experience including unique window displays, and interior store design. As a previous 911 Training Manager, she pulls together the logical step-by-step consignment policies & procedures and mixes it with the look and feel of a store to create a unique resale store experience. Â
Interesting fact about Angie is that she knew absolutely nothing about consignment stores until shortly before she opened her award-winning store, Absolutely Her Women’s Consignment in Papillion, Nebraska. Why do we even admit to that? Because it shows how much you absolutely can learn in a short amount of time and with the right people to help you along the way. Living by the motto “knowledge is the enemy of fear”, she propelled herself into the resale industry even farther by starting her own business, The Consignment Consultant,  as a consignment coach with a monthly membership group called MOMENTUM.  Â
And then, the most AHmazing opportunity came about and a partnership was formed with Neil Abramson of ECI Stores in Leominster, Massachusetts. Â
You might recognize Neil as the “Numbers Guy with the Pink Calculator". His gifts are about the consignment analytics of your numbers and your store, guiding you to reach your goals. He has a strong understanding of resale and retail and often works closely with the National Retail Federation, Retail Association of Massachusetts, & North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, being a strong advocate for small businesses at both the Federal and State level.Â
He has over 30 years of retail operations expertise and over 20 years of resale strategy techniques. Spearheading multiple stores, including Cutie Patuties, New England’s Largest Children's Consignment store and revolutionizing operations and processing with one of the first resale off-site processing centers. So there’s a bit of knowledge in that mind of his! Neil, his business partner and wife Cassandra, have owned and operated ECi Stores since 1998 in Leominster, MA. AND, he’s been a member of the National Association of Resale Professionals (NARTS) since 2001, serving on the board from 2013 - 2023.
His favorite saying is “numbers don’t lie” and as the Chief Financial Officer and Strategist of the four stores plus processing center that he owns with his wife, Neil deals closely with consignment financial analytics, resale store operations, and human resources side of Next Level Resale.Â
Both Angie and Neil are active members in the Resale Industry and are regular presenters at NARTS conferences along with being advocates of all topics resale. Why is all of this important to know about us? Well, you can see how we balance each other and bring with us a set of proficiencies to guide you.  Together we can see a resale store’s operation and work on the entire business process to move it forward – everything from display and set up to numbers and systems. Â
